Following on from Fruitsalad's blood test question...

I have very prominent veins, when I went for a blood test a couple of weeks ago the 'tester' said "have your veins always been like this?" Does anyone know why she would've asked this? She said it as though there may have been a problem. x

I cannot think of any reason why prominent veins in the arms should signify an underlying medical problem.

Strange eh? - Thanks sqad.
Can't think why, whenever I go for a blood test I get the same woman who can't find a vein. We now call her Mrs Bristow because she uses you like a dartboard. My arm is usually bruised for a few days after that.
I have been on warfarin since 1973 and have had blood tests so many times my arms have only one thin vein left that is used to supply enough blood to fill the phial.
