Numb spot on my foot

I have had a numb spot at the side, near to the top, on my left foot for a couple of weeks now. This area also hurts whenever I stretch my foot out - is it anything to worry about ?

Be more specific........where is the "top of your foot?"
Near the toe, near the top close to the ankle?.....numb? how gig is this "numb" spot? Do you mean it is numb AND painful?

Sqad - it's about an inch wide, more on the side of my foot midway between the ankle and my big toe. It feels numb when I touch it, but when I stretch my foot out, it's painful and it hurts if I kneel down. I hope this explains it better - thank you.
chapta.......thanks for that helpful post......I am afraid nothing springs to mind, certainly nothing of a sinister nature and the only advice i can give is to monitor the situation for the nest week or two.

I am not very helpful I'm afraid.

Thanks sqad - would you think me silly if I say I am worried about something like MND ? Although you saying nothing of a sinister nature springs to mind has made me feel a little better.
chapy......with your symptoms MND is a non starter............don't worry.

Thank you sqad. I'll keep an eye on it and if still feeling numb in a week or two, maybe pop to my GP.
No problem ;-)
