trigg...I have been giving more thought to this and have done a bit of research as it is extremely uncommon and my knowledge is limited.
Occurs in roughly 0.08 births in 100.000......that uncommon. An ill understood disorder with an unknown cause and debatable treatment, mainly surrounding the use of anticoagulants.Internal cerebral vein thrombosis is bad enough, but when combined with blood vessels in the thalamus which are blocked, then it is a truly serious condition with a bleak outlook in the short term and an even more difficult and uncertain outlook in the long term.
If the baby survives breathing problems, which may ensue, then mental and neurological problems will certainly follow.
That's it trigg............a policy of wait and see with the prospect of a bleak future.
