Tranquilisers

I am thinking of having my eyes lasered and wondered if the doctor will prescribe me a few tranquilisers before I have it done?
I would require something really strong - but as its only a one time thing do you think they will do it?

I cannot see any rational argument concerning prescribing a tranquiliser.
no harm in asking.

Thank you for your answers
doctors in the uk are very stringent when it comes to prescribing tranquilizers,i heard a rumor that it is due to law suites in america of people claiming "mothers little helper" had ruined their lives.

in your case i cant see a problem.
"do you think they will do it?"
No because it's imperative that you are fully awake when you have it done.
