I have a strange rash/patch on the bottom of my leg.............................

It is about the size of 50 pence piece, it has been there a few months now and just thought it is ezcema. But yesterday it was raised and looked like little bubbles type of rash. I did put ezema ointment on it a few times but it itches more and swells up. My husband said it looks like a hive.? Any ideas please.?

Well, I must say that I agree with you.....it does sound like eczema.

You didn't say what the "eczema ointment" was, but steroid ointment should do the trick e.g Synalar.
