doxycycline 100 mg caps

Was prescribed this antibiotic for chest infection a couple of days ago, today noticed on the information leaflet you should not drink alcohol in the small print,but no warning on the pack that the capsules were in I have had an alcoholic drink over the past couple of days with no adverse effects I would be grateful for any comments thanks in advance

No problem about taking alcohol in moderation.

As I understand it, the only common antibiotic where alcohol is an absolute no is Metronidazole.
