Is it illegal to print copies of £5 notes? I need one side as t'other will have an advert but my printer refuses & says 'Rules for use'. Wots that all about ?

See the panel towards the bottom left of this page for the rules on reproducing Bank of England notes. (It's a serious criminal offence to reproduce them if those rules aren't adhered to).

Thanx for that Chris.....who'da thort it !

I downloaded the note from the web & did the work but have warned the client - its in their court now. I better run to my bank and pay in their cheque :)
