While I am trying to look after myself with exercise and diet, m skin is rubbish right now. It has lumps bumps red patches, open pores and is not happy . Has anyone tried a chemical peel and did you have it done at a solon or at home ? Any recommendations ?

my advice to you if you have drastically changed your lifestyle is to leave well alone. Treat your skin very gently indeed till it settles down. Any kind of skin peel deliberately aggravates the skin and IMO is best avoided while your skin is unsettled.

Hi woof, not all my changes have happened recently but over a couple of years now. My diet is much improved and I swim when ever I can, just my face seems to get worse ! I get spotty and scars from old spots or something. Wondering if a peel might help ?
If your skin is bad, i would go see a doc about it, could be hormones, could be your age, could be allergies. I certainly wouldn't have a peel while you are getting spots.
Obagi Radiance Blue Peel is a superficial peel which works well and requires a course of about 6, but peels work best with a quality skincare regimen to begin with.
i had a chemical peel-bouht one from wowcher and it was very very good-i suffer badly from acne underneath the skin and it did help. Elemis TriEnzyme masks work well too but they are very expensive
You need to be cleansing nightly, with a micellar water, then using a facial wash (try body shop tea tree, followed by body shopn tea tree toner and a light moisturiser, try garnier moisture match) this really helped for me
