Madonna of the Rocks

Are Leonardo Da Vinci's two paintings Madonna of the Rocks both called that, or is one of them Virgin of the Rocks? I've seen websites where they are both called Madonna of the Rocks.

Thanks! This odd website said that they were both called Madonna of the Rocks, but that wouldn't make much sense. It slightly confused me!

These are two different paintings, the first one he painted (madonna- i think) was not liked by those who comissioned it, so another was painted for them. (virgin)

I think the madonna of the rocks is in the Louve, Paris.

Madonna of the rocks was the first one painted by Leonardo but was considered unsuitable so he  painted the second, virgin of the rocks. read "the da vinci code" by dan brown, makes interesting reading
