The Half-Blood Prince

It is not Neville. This is what dumbledore said that proves that Neville is a Pureblood.

"But he may have chosen wrong!" Said Harry. "he might have marked the wrong person!"
He chose the boy that he thought most likely to be a danger to him," said Dumbledore. "And notice this, Harry. He chose, not the pureblood(refering to Neville) but the Half-Blood, like himself.

Ok Besides Neville, Harry, Voldermort, and Tom Riddle (who has been proven time and time again that he is One with Voldermort), and Mark Evans, Who do you think the Half-Blood Prince

To continue, my theory is that the HB in the title stands for Godric standing up and fighting for the rights of the HB back in his day. During his time royalty would not have been as uncommon as it is today. Also, I feel that the title hints at the relationship between Harry and Godric. ie Harry's ancestry The key to defeating the heir to Slytherin, in my opinion, will be the heir to Gyffindor. To throw in another twist I believe that this heritage will come from Lily's side. Godric will have the same "eyes" as the rest of the family.

My vote is for Hagrid, Dumbledore, Godric Gryfindor, any relations from Dumbledore, and most unusually any relations from Voldemort himself. A weird idea I have is a ghost, centaur, spider, merpeople, or some other creature, we should definitely see either some new ones or some revamped old ones.

I don't think it will be Dumbledore because he doesn't really ned a higher status.  Everyone already like worships him.

But as for my guess... I think that it could be Dean Thomas.  In the books it doesn't go into a lot of background on him, but on www.jkrowling.com, I found something that said his father left his family when he was little.  Then, when he got his Hogwarts letter, his mom thought that Dean's father might have been a wizard.  But as for who his father is?  The question is still unanswered.

i think ginny is the prince because if u really thinka bout it, she isnt much like the other weasleys, shes not open.  also, jk rowling said neville matchured a lot during the 5th book and chances are he is gonna start to do things differently and see things differnetly which might pit him against harry, just a thought, not a prediction. plus neville doesnt have to half blood, i think hes acting less of himself and that what its refering to in "half blood".  Luna lovegood is gonna be huge in this book too. thats y shes introduced. Godric Grinfyndor is dead! its not him, its always the perosn u overlook

ok i said this before on the other one trying to find out the hbp but now i have time to go into in a bit more detail; Dobby! think about dumbledore said. "kreacher bound by incatations of his kind could not leave the house without permission" but Dobby could warn Harry without the malfoys permission so perphaps he is not a full house-elf enabling him to break the incantations at certain times half-human? half-goblin? maybe or else y would she (jk) put so much emphaisis on an (elf he is almost a main caracter!) and it would be the most unexpected thing whitch she always seems to pull ou t the bag

Snape's father is called "Something" Prince, he is also a half blood, as his mother was a muggle. So he is the half-blood prince
