I have just started to read "Exodus" for only the second time, and am enjoying it no end !

The first time was on a Greek Island beach, in 1971 ( I think ). It was also the first time I had read anything much about the Holocaust. I have "Mila 18" on request at the Library as well.

fun fact: Catch-22 was originally going to be called Catch-18 but they didn't want it to be confused with Uris's book.

jno....never knew that !
Catch 22 is much catchier.
How can a book about the holocaust be "enjoyed no end" ?
Mikey, when you have finished it, read 'Birdsong'.
I loved all of his books, but haven't read any for ages.
After Exodus, I think my favourite was QBVII. Courtroom drama. Excellent.
Actually, glad you reminded me of it. Will try and track it down now to read again
'Enjoyed no end' because it is absolutely enthralling. You are caught up in everyone's story, racing ahead, reading faster and faster and yet never wanting it to end.

"Birdsong" is on my list !

I am about half way through "Exodus" and I had forgotten what a stonking good read it is, and what complete bar stewards the ruddy Nazis were.

I shall be working my way through the Uris cannon, this Autumn, and I am looking forward to it !
