It feels good to me, but I can't bear stories written in the present tense. I can understand why you'd want to do it, though.

Thank you both for your answers. I really appreciate the feedback.

@Zacs-Masters: Other than being written in first person and featuring a female protagonist, my story has nothing similar to The Hunger Games. It becomes clearer the more you read, though.
