The speaker is saying that this show (either TV or thetre, not advised) has had a new character introduced, which has brought a new dimension to the show.

Hope that helps.
It says:

"obviously the show's had this ejection, which it hasn't been happy for, have this character"

The only TV show I know which involves 'ejection' is Big Brother, so I think the speaker is talking about Big Brother.

'Obviously the show's had this injection, which it hadn't had before, of this character.'
Koster may be right and I may need my ears cleaned out.
With great respect, don't think Andy has interpreted it correctly. I would go with Koster as more accurate.
Quite honestly, the person speaking isn't exactly expressing himself very well either.
Oh dear, on reflection I can hear both versions now.
Accio, what is it in connection with? Knowing that might help us help you.
