I started reading it yesterday. I'm not really one for reading erotic novels but wanted to find out what all the fuss was about. It is basically about domination towards the main female carachter. Bondage and all that malarkey. Not my kind of book but it has been bought so will have to read it. You can get a preview of it on amazon. Amazon.co.uk User Recommendation

Thanks Hollie!
Its absolute garbage. I got it without reading any of the reviews as I had heard that it is the book that everyone will be talking about this summer (which it is). I stuck with all three books and here is my honest opinion. If you told me it was written by a silly 14 year old girl with a very vivid imagination, I'd believe you. I hate the way it is narrated in the present tense (he is walking towards me and I cant believe this vision of beauty is all mine - or words to that effect) and long before I got even halfway through the story, I wanted to slap Ana. No wonder some men are like they are with women as silly as her in the world! Take out all the very explicit references to sex and theres nothing left in the book. I dont care how rich Christian is, or how handsome - he's a bullying creep. The story seems to imply that violence towards women is OK providing there's some sexual gratification involved. Codswallop!!
apart from that Lynda quite liked it :P
that's how it sounded to me, LyndaB, so I haven't read it. Not a great fan of violence, even when I know it's fictional.
Not read it yet....
