Pointilism?

Hey, I'm looking for a cheap (preferably free) and easy way to make a pointilism picture, as seen here: http://www.nbc.com/co...rne/images/final.jpg.

Thanks a lot,
James :)

Web page doesn't open. Pardon my ignorance, but what is a pointilism picture?
thousands of little dots of colour. Surat, I think, developed the technique in the 19th Cen.

Try downloading Gimp, an open-source graphics software closely similar to Photoshop. The 'filters' section allows you t apply many effects to images.
Filters in Photoshop, though you may not have it or you wouldn't be asking. Perhaps you know someone who has it installed, you could do it on their computer, transfer it to a USB stick and get it printed, or print it yourself depending on what size you want.
The link doesn't work because you put a fullstop on the end of it:

However, that isn't pointillism. Google "picture mosaic" for some free software that will allow you to create images like the one above.
