............ can anyone tell me the name of a novel/author where story was set in The Delves area of Walsall in the early to mid 1900s please?

I found an autobiographical novel : Lights in the Dust by Jo Mary Stafford. Think its set in the 1930s so may be a bit late to be the right one but may be interesting
