I used to have a book many many years ago about a girl who is handfasted to a guy for a year and a day. The couple end up having a baby together and at the end of the year the grandfather tries to kidnap and keep her child. I think he tries to kill either his granddaughter or her man. I remember a part where he has either his grandaughter or her man tied to horses and is planning to rip one of them apart. anyways if any one can remember either the name of the book or the author please let me know. Thanks
