I can't wait ! I have met le Carre on a couple of occasions in the last 15 years, as he lives close to where I have my caravan near Penzance. I asked him, rather cheekily once, if he thought Smiley may be due a come-back soon, and he said

" Well, you never know, do you ! "

i confess i have only read one or two of his books and that was a long time ago. Tinker tailor was a good film however.
