college art sketchbook help

I have an art assignment entitled 'erode and decay' basically i need to fill up my sketchbook and need ideas. Do any creative people have any ideas to help create a good sketchbook on erode and decay, any tips?

where do you live? If you are on the coast you could have a look at the cliffs for coastal erosion; if you are near woods there are always fallen logs slowly decaying; likewise ruined buildings; all around us things are decaying but erosion is a bit more specific. Thnk of what might be subject to wear and tear - rusty cars; road surfaces; human beings even! Come round to my house you'll see plenty of decay and erosion! I'm sure others will have more and better ideas. Good luck with your project.
What about teeth, or graveyards (tombs, crosses, monuments), chemicals (pictures of bottles/containers for acids etc), or urban decay (buildings/rundown areas)?
