Or they could just come to Lancashire :-(
blimey - first sign of heatstroke is that your spelling goes off.....
Turn off electrical equipment??

Does that include fans?

I daresay after the recent floods that a drought warning will be issued some time in the next fortnight........
what's your point gromit? I don't get it!
I'm glad they published their advice. It would never had occurred to me to do any of those things.
Should I be casting a clout then?
Why would we need to turn off electrical equipment?
Probably because most of them produce heat.
It's OK daffy - you can use the battery powered one ...
Thats a huge relief Dave ;)
is the hat for giant hailstones

This is useful to know, but I hope we get some advice from the health experts in the winter months as well.

I'm never sure whether to turn the heating up or down when it's cold. Also, the question of whether shorts should be worn in a snowstorm is a perennial puzzler.

Hmmm, stay out of the burning sun. ok, never thought of that one. I've got some advice too, if you want to stay dry, don't walk in the rain. Are these advisers real people ???
People have a tendency to do stupid things when the weather is hot. Today I watched a man dig a great big hole on a sandy beach and then allow his toddler son to climb into it. I wanted to tell him how dangerous that can be but I thought better of it because I would probably have been told to mind my own business. People leave dogs in cars, swim (and drown) in quarries and get heatstroke so a little reminder is necessarily for the gormless.
I'll be wearing a hat indoors too just to be on the safe side.
No words on the temperature at which tinfoil hats may cause contact burns I note.
Phew lucky warning about the electrical equipment... fridge freezer switched off first thing.
And the fans.
I plan to shield my head with a large convex lens.
