the other day i was driving with my satnav and the sun was on the screen so i moved it slightly and accidentally turned it off ... i pulled over and reset it - all was fine and i got where i was going ... however when i came to turn it back on to go home, it wont accept my passcode!

there is no error message, just a kind of clang noise when i click the tick button ...

what the hell has happened to it?
i dont understand how in the space of a few hour it has stopped accepting it.
there is a padlock symbol at the top of the screen saying 'super' next to it - which i havent noticed before - btu then i wasnt looking so it may always be there...
i cant find a reset button either - i have turned it on and off, pulled the card out etc etc
what can i do?
i bought it second hand off ebay so cant take it back to the shop either.
its been great up til now.
its asking for a superpin...?

thanks - its a Medion Gopal E3240 (MD98030)
it was nightmare getting home too! haha

Some satnavs do have a small hole as the reset button but you say there isn't one. On my satnav to reset it you have to keep the start depressed for 15 secs. Whether this applies you yours I don't know.

thanks pdq - aparently it happens if youve entered the password wrong 3 times - pretty sure i didnt do that though - id have realised!
plus the super pin i saved at the start doesnt work - so i think maybe theres been some internal crash or something to things are acting strangely.
but looks like i have to call them to get it unlocked.

i sorted it - i had written the supercode into my phone as ending in a 1 - but it was an I ... just randomly decided to test a few variations just in case.
