mark as best answer

I don't really like to do this when different people do their best to help, but sometimes after I have posted I have noticed that a question has been marked as best answer without me doing anything. How and why does this happen please - rosy

I would be prepared to bet that you've clicked on mark as best answer by accident if you think you've done nothing.
It seems only you can mark best answer rosy http://www.theanswerb...rk-on-the-answerbank/

Oh right, thank you both, I will have to be more careful in future - rosy
Some people mark their own posts as best answers... :-)
I think there should also be a worst answer!
They are smug gits!
That always makes me smile, it's a very egotistical thing to do :)
That may cause offence, grasscarp!
I'm not convinced that this is all down to accident clicking.

Not for the first time, I recently received some emails about a particular thread because, apparently, I had subscribed to them. But when you subscribe to a question a bright banner is displayed at the top of the screen to let you know that you are now subscribed - not only am I sure that I didn't click on Subscribe, I certainly didn't seen any such banner.
bibble the red banner saying Subscribed Threads appears under the Latest Posts half way down on the right of my screen.
....and ithink Mark has has his share of best answers, i vote we change it to:

Annie 'as best answer

that's the way it's supposed to work isn't it? we all takea turn to be best?
I think that only works on Coronation Street - Mark 'as best answer, 'appen...
The mark as best answer does seem to confuse some people into thinking the posters name is Mark.

Works fine for MarkRae I guess and has made me wonder how the hell a new user knows my name on occasions.
