Would it be a good idea to have a Tips section?

A section where people could just post "tip", such as :-

I saved £50 by booking my holliday to X by going to Y
I made a X out of Y etc

You would then not be posting a question or expecting an answer I know, but sometimes, a little tip, can save money, or give you that bright idea.

What do you think?

It could be any tip, really, not just money saving.

Like I have a unheated green house, so I keept all those soft fruit containers with lids on, and planted my seeds in them, I use the transparent lids to cover them with, then put them in the green house. Thus I have a green house in a green house. The seeds are doing very well even though its still chilly

this has already been covered, by me and various others, and the consensus seems to be that by and large this already gets covered. Plus you would have to keep going back and forward to look up stuff, and once you got to 30, 50. 100, people are going to get bored, or not bother.

Em..You have made a good point about trying to locate a specific tip and having to go backwards and forwards.

Far better to use the search box at the top of AB pages. e.g. I have this minute typed in Carpet Stains and up came the following:-

i dont think many would use it really...people would just ask their own question as and when they need it
i wouldnt go searching through it - id just ask my own question

i like tips etc - but this is a question and answer site, not a tips site, and content should be generated by the asking of a question, not just random postings

itd also probably just get clogged up with a few people just copying and pasting stuff on subjects others arent interested in... and stuff from the 'pub bore' types
there are many sites online for tips.
