She could phone a local vet and ask their advice. Some councils don't allow you to bury a pet in your garden anyway and operate a 'disposal' system, I know that this is the case in Hull if you live in a council house.
Some vets have info about pet cremations. If you rang one or two tomorrow I'm sure they could help.
Most vets can organise a cremation, if that would be an easier solution?
We took Bingo into the woods outside the village and my son dug a really good sixe grave and then we have covered it with chippings and cemented stones around it. He has a headstone too.
You can have a dog cremated if there is a pet crem near to you, it costs £10 for a communal cremation and you don't get the ashes. That's why I buroed Bingo, we had Max cremated that way and I so regret it, but individual cremations are about £90
if you ring the vets, they will cremate for her, sorry to here about this x
Can I ask if your neighbour is on her own? If she is then she's going to be very upset just now david, glad you're there for her.
The vet will take the dog and arrange the cremation. If not most pet crematoriums will collect for a small fee, as they collect from vets on a regular basis.
If your neighbour pays an extra fee to the Pet Crematorium she can have her dogs ashes returned to her (instead of the company scattering them) and she can scatter the ashes herself.
It can make parting with a beloved pet a little easier.
