it happens once or twice a year it just kinda flops out, my black lab just makes a mess so get the hoover out, nothing 2 worry about
Yep thats a lab for you, get it used to be vaccumed, they love it, an upright vaccume cleaner is not the best one though.
If it is of anyhlep I have two rough collies(lassie) dogs and there fur is coming out by the handfull. also my daughters german shepard is also moulting like mad. it must be the hot weather.just keep the hoover out ready plugged in. Brenda
I have an 18 month golden labrador who is also not overweight but his hair is getting everywhere around the house!

RATTER15, as for using the vaccuum he is such a wimp and runs a mile everytime it's turned on!
hello, while I appreciate dog hair gets everywhere, I have two small dogs who seem to be moulting all year round!!, I would be careful taking the vaccuum to the dog as tempting as it may be. Indeed one manufacturer (Milele) says not to vaccuum pets directly as it may displace their vital organs, such is the power of the machine, Just keep hair down with a good brush of the dog.
I can knit a jumper from Shaney at the moment !
He is a cross GS/Lab ..I have got him booked up for a bath and a coat strip next week as he has a thick double coat. It"s coming out in tufts at the moment in spite of a good brushing most days.
I think this heat does affect them as he doesn"t seem to moult as much in the cold weather. Vitapet oil in his food does help and keeps his coat nice and glossy.I also put rock sulphur in his water in this heat to help cool him down.
My lab x Megan sheds constantly, it a wonder she isnt bald like yours chapter 123 she hates the vacuum and wont be in the same room.
We used to have a labrador and he used to cast all the time. He'd slide down the back of an armchair as he went to sleep or just rest against it and you'd see hair all down the back of it. Ma mum was not best pleased...

my dad does vaccum barney EVERY day and pulls out all the loose hair but it honestly makes no difference and yeah he loves a good hoover! my dad even got a special nozzle thing especially for dogs. You just put it on the end of your hoover and it works miracles. He even went as far as getting a special hoover for it aswelll

but a cant remember what it was called i think it was called the dyson animal or somethin.
Labs are known for shedding tons of hair, i have a black lab and he sheds all year round, central heating doesnt help either....so its no longer just a two season molt, its all year round - lovely jubbly. my lab just has to move slightly and tons of hair is deposited on the floor lol.
RQ :)
I have 2 Golden Retrievers & they shed constantly. I take them into the garden once a week & give them a good brush. I use an under rake 1st & this gets rid of loads of loose fur from thier undercoat. I can't believe how much comes off & it just keeps coming, no matter how long I brush for!!

I have a Meile cat & dog vac its brilliant!!
Just wanted to add. If the condition of his coat is bad, or patchy, it may be his diet. Or if he has recently been neutured it may affect his coat for a while.
