Can anyone enlighten me please. I have just been out with my cavalier spaniel, and she had a motion. Part of it was a bright green colour, the rest normal. Has anyone seen the same from a dog?

it could poss be plants or grass as my puppy has had a few stringy green do do's! does your dog tend to eat grass or plants as mine does?

Thank you blue eyes, She does sometimes, but I have not seen her do that in the last 24 hours.
you haven't changed her food at all have you? Notice my dog does that sometimes if he has different food than normal - some of the dry ones have dies in them. Not sure why really, seeing as dogs can only apparently see in B&W

Yes ugly-bob, I have changed her food, but it is James Wellbeloved with no colours in it!

The green colour can come from excess unabsorbed Iron, and can be seen in healthy animals even people, so unless your dog seems to have any other problems or it seems to cause her pain when she goes the toilet I wouldn't worry about it.

What type of Wellbeloved is she on? Is it possible that she is on a higher iron intake then with her previous food. If so this could explain why the colour has changed.
