...and the little curmudgeon won't use it. He'll put a paw in...then settle next to it. I've placed it next to where I sit.

If he doesn't use it...I will, as a pillow. It's lovely and soft...;-)

Phoebe didn't go in her bed for the first few days and then suddenly she just randomly walked over and climbed in.

Pasta, as far as I know no cat has parents that are legally married - that means they are all little Batsards.

I have three water fountains that all scare Merlin - Frankie is just as difficult.

Well then at least you will have found a use for it pasta. Any suggestions as to what I can use a scratching post for as mine still prefers to use the sofa, the rug, the door mat, anything but the proper thing?

Maybe transfer scent from the sofa, rug, etc...to the scratching post.
Casper sleeps on the floor 9 times out of 10...so he doesn't have a smelly old blanket. Lol

I took at least half a dozen pet beds to the charity shop recently, simply because my four moggies won't use them!

Dogs can be just as contrary.We once bought Max a new bed put it in his corner and filled it with his favourite blanket and toys.He took one look at it dragged it out of the way returned his bits and pieces back into his corner and went to sleep on them.He never use that basket and we ended up giving to a neighbour for their Rottie, who loved it.
