Friday. No frost this morning. Wonderful! :o}

I was at the hospice last night for the auction on line on Ebay. It was a lovely evening and a lot of lovely people were there. The bar was busy, although anyone driving home resisted the temptation.

An Anthony Gormley picture raised £2,700, it was the star of the show. The total raised was a tad over £20,000. An excellent amount for an excellent cause. There was one item I had my eye on and put a bid in. It went for more that twice that. :o{

I'm going to make some scotch eggs today. I haven't done them for ages.

Afternoon oz. Yes thanks mate. Most enjoyable indeed. Lots on nice people many of whom I knew and some I met for the first time.

How are you today mate?

Trudging along, spent most of the day on the phone comparing insurance quotes, I know how to have fun, listening to salespersons twaddle.

What's happening today, apart from laying scotch eggs?

good morning boaty - went for second ftting of vanplast - thank god although working through the dentist - it is dental technician business. She doesn't have a clue. I asked where the clasps wold be - don't know - I'll ask technician - how will I look after the vanplast - will ask technician.

In two weeks final fitting but I will not allow her to clean my teeth - all the dentists that were in surgery were below 25 years of age and I am waiting for the BIG BOSS to come in and check their work. Felt like going (not that I ever went) but going to free dental with new trainees in RVH. I am really glad my own teeth have not been touched and i refused for her to clean them. So I hope it goes well in 2 weeks.

You had a good day in the hospice - lots and lots of going on which is really great. You know I got form to join as a volunteer but I was a bit afraid Boaty of being upset at the patients. I would have joined the wee cafe business. My own hairdresser goes every Wednesday and does their hair and she loves it. morning boaty - can't seem to settle this morning.

Morning conne xxx Being a volunteer in a hospice is one of the most rewarding jobs I know. You will meet some wonderful people, and, believe me, a lot of fun is had! :o} Go for it my lovely!

I hope you get a competent techy. dental work is never a lot of joy.

I'm in contact with quite a few from here, it's great to be able to and there has been no negative ramifications.

As a matter of fact, one lovely lady sends me no end of amusing emails, gotta love her.

Because it's poets day today I'm doing a dead simple meal tonight, rolled up some dough earlier, pizza and garlic bread, a few beers and feet up in front of the idiot box.
