Or to put it another way, if someone thought they'd picked them up in luggage how long would it need to be frozen before they'd die?

How we're you planning of squeezing a suitcase into your freezer.

Wolf, the daughter of a friend of mine is in Italy. She phoned her mum and told her she'd been bitten as she slept and there were tiny traces of blood on her bedding. I think the 'blood' is actually their excreta but thought it better not to say that.
If she brings stuff home she'll want to be sure there are no hitch-hikers in her belongings.
I thought the freezing would do the trick.
Thank you Sandy for BA
Just wondering if the cold conditions of the flight home would do the same, anybody know? ( or is the luggage compartment of an aircraft pressurised and heated these days?)

I'd guess most flights wouldn't be long enough, especially if the bugs were insulated in clothing.
It'd fit in a decent sized chest freezer but you'll have to have a feast or two before she arrives back.

Sure it is bed bugs ? This time of year I seem to be continually being bitten. No idea what time of day, but loads of itchy small bump areas :-(
