The last few days I have had a number of bees on my grass that walk around for a bit then just die. Why is this do you think and why my garden??

If you have any honey (or you can make up some sugared water), place a small amount by their miuths, they wil drink this, if not too far gone and fly away. I read this somewhere. tried it and it worked! Don't know why they are dying, but this seems to happen a lot sadly.
^ 'mouths' !
I tried this yesterday.

Poor little bee stumbling round my back yard, I dashed inside to make some sugared water, dashed back outside to find my dog had eaten it :-(
Eaten the bee?? Amazing she wasn't stung ! A friend of mine has tried this too and was amazed when it worked. The bee flew away buzzing madly!
Maybe they've reached the end of their lifespan...about 28 days for a worker bumblebee. I have them nesting in my cavity wall for the second year and I'm finding quite a few dead ones now.
Yep..a solution of white sugar and water on a spoon for them. Not honey and not brown sugar. They just exhausted and need a boost poor things.
