Here's an interesting question - never come across the subject in any of the thousands of wildlife programmes I've seen:

Do fish yawn? (And how would you know, since they mostly seem to go around with their mouths agape anyway!)

And do fish sneeze?

(Don't blame me for the twaddle that comes to me in dreams!)

Fish eat in their sleep, hence mouths agape... lol.
but would not sneeze they have gills to take in oxygen, so not suffer the pollinates that we do.

They do exfoliate... extracts through their mouths that are not appreciated to them. (Not Sneezing)

Good to have a fish expert on though... I thought you were joking.
...and plankton... fish with mouths agape count on this.
Fish count on plankton Arksided.........I always thought they would have used fish fingers . :-)
They might discuss how to make a Human Pie, just to get their own back.
Breadcrumbs surely.

No messin' with sharks they like it Raw, I don't like sushi.
Brave man Divebuddy... nope not for me. Your OP becomes clearer as do they sleep etc...
Don't Basking Sharks go around with mouths agape?
-- answer removed --
They don't sleep with their mouths shut. They have to keep moving otherwise they'd die. whilst keeping agape.
So if they swim around with their mouths open all the time...it could look like they're forever yawning. Perhaps they're kippers ;-)
Kippers and sharks.. I' notice the difference.
yep me too, sharper teeth!
No some *** playing a cello' and all the folk on beach screamin' SHARK... SWIM. would be bit of a clue to me.
Blimey, cupid! It would take a month to smoke a Basking Shark. Perhaps you could plug it's enormous maw with a couple of hundred Benson and Hedges, but I don't think they'd light very well under the ocean!
All the same, I don't think you could eat it in one sitting....
I didn't think Basking Sharks attacked? I've only seen them on the tele, but they look a bit toothless. Perhaps they sidle up and give you a nasty suck - gumming you to death!
Ooh, nasty! Death by "ee' by gum"!
They be ones ones that came across a yorkshire man... I guess.
