I have been watching an insect that looks like a wasp, going into the grass, then a few minutes later it flies out, gone for a few minutes, then back again into the same place, and repeats all the time ( near my garden hammock) I tried googling it, but nothing much, mostly American stuff, different wasps, i think. any ideas please. Am I going to get a plague of wasps??

I think solitary bees, like Mason bees, make a nest for a single egg in the grass, perhaps there are solitary wasps that do the same thing.
