Thursday. It's a balmy 3°C outside. 'Yer wee man' on the idiot box is just saying that isn't going to last long. It's going to be somewhat nippy. I must be away about 7 this morning. I have a delivery but I don't know what time, so I want to the the paper and some eggs from the farm and be back for 8. So I'll come back on then.

Have a happy day everyone.

Morning OG. How are you? And welcome to the GMEB thread.
Morning. Not brilliant thanks. Should not be awake but realising beer & curry at my age isn't coped with as well as it should or used to be. Ah well... Hope you're feeling as fit as a fiddle.
Question Author
Sorry about the delay replying, I've just had to re-boot the poota. :o{

I know what you mean about curry and ale at night in later years. Not a good idea at all!

As fit as a fiddle would be good! :o} More like as git as an arthritic sloth! :o} Not too bad in reality.
Where abouts are you? I'm in Gloucetershire.
Curried beer, OG? Fit as a fiddle?. Anyway, I heard that the only difference between a fiddle and a violin is the type of music being played. We're supposed to get about 5" of snow tomorrow: a huge storm!
Question Author
Morning stuey. That sounds about right you can fiddle on a violin right enough.

Yes, you're copping the snow big time in your part of the world right now. It's just been on the idiot box here.
Hello, WB. I was being a little humerus when I mentioned 5" of snow being a "big storm". Compared to what the NE states got, that's nothing; however, you know how the radio and TV commentators get hysterical...I'm sure the same thing happens over there.
Question Author
Oh yes. I did take that into account. News must be 'Sensational' according to the media. Having said that, the weather map on the screen is showing that we are going to cop it as well.
Batten down the hatches, Captain sir. I'm off to me bunk.
Question Author
Sleep well my friend. :-)
Morning boys xx

Morning jan xxx How are you this morning? :o}
I'm ok thanks. xx You?

I have Zumba at 9.30. There's also a mountain of ironing to be tackled when I get back but if someone can tackle El Capitan, and succeed in so doing, then I can easily see off this ironing pile.

Hampshire had an earthquake of 2.9 a couple of days ago and yesterday the East Midlands had one measuring 3.8. Hope the Cotswolds are safe...
Question Author
I saw about the earthquakes on the news. But the Cotswolds are not famous for them. Thankfully! There was one in Havant a few years ago, it did two million quids worth of improvements. :o}
Oh boaty... an old joke..... but still appropriate
I don't know if the Cotswolds are safe though what with all those sheep passing wind !
Question Author
Thanks to Jethro for that one jan. It's the sheep that drive the wind turbines. :o} Mobile North Sea gas producers, that's what sheep are! Along with cattle and horses.
Morning all! A blanket of white all around this morning and, if it's the same as last night, a lovely layer of ice underneath. It's only a couple of inches but tyres don't seem to be what they were.
I'm on the Fraserburgh to Annan run again today. Keeps me out of trouble.
Stay warjm.
Morning Big Doug xx
Warjm, that's what we say up here. :[)
