Bird Friendly 'biscuits' ???

I want to make some decorations for my Xmas tree that will be ok for my birds to nibble on (they're Kakariki parakeets) what should I use to make the dough - any ideas please ?

Bump.
NZ beech tree nuts would be a great treat. Really, don't bother making something that you have to cook, you might kill your birds. You can get small seed bells that would look great in your tree and will be appreciated by your birds after. If you want to make something yourself, there are a few ideas here.....
