i meant the river nile
Phleb, google Nile crocodile. Lots, apparently.
Crocodilians are found all over the globe. Alligators and cayman in the New world; crocodiles and gharial in the old world.
In modern Egypt crocodiles are not seen north of the Aswan High Dam, although they were common along the length of the river in antiquity.

Hippos also found along the length of the river in antiquity, especially in the Delta.
Did not Mrs Malaprop, in one of Sheridan's plays, refer to the 'allegories of the Nile' instead of alligators?

I've got one here!

as with the wikipedia links, 'nile crocodile' is the name given to a widespread species - phleb was asking specifically about Egypt.
Mosaic, phleb hasn't mentioned Egypt.

///phleb was asking specifically about Egypt.///

I must have missed that bit, where is it please?
Good point. The OP mentions the Nile which flows more countries than Egypt.
^^ through
Soz Balders, I was hallucinating...'kids' n 'project' simply formed 'Egyptians' in my fevered brain.
There are also turtles, hippos and snakes your children could draw.
