I use Libre Office for my documents and want to write a list of things that I want in alphabetical order, is there a way to do this automatically. Thanks for any help and sorry if it seems a strange request. :)

I don't use Libre Office (although I know it to be an excellent office suite) but googling suggests that (in Writer) you simply need to highlight the text and go to Tool > Sort. (If 'Sort' is missing from the 'Tools' menu, try adding it via Tools > Customize > Menus). I hope that works for you.
