For a number of years now, I have had a lavender hedge in my front garden.
I planted it primarily to feed the bees and other insects, and to be able to gather a little of the lavender for bags.
My question is ..... do they kill each other?
I ask because there are quite a few dead bees at the foot of the hedge.

I think there's a virus in some hives. I see loads of dead bees during my morning walk.
Probably worker bees dying off. They have a life of about 6 weeks in the summer

Thanks both, I never realised they had such a short life span.
