The others I know around here are called, Annie, Bonnie, Max, Nigel, and Meg. Is Atticus too posh a name for a dog?

It's cool. I have a Sam(son) and a Cody.
Question Author
Two I'd forgotten, Daisy and Henry.
Those are Hoovers, sandy...
Also- it depends what sort of dog. Some need posh names. I know a Chihuahua called Geraldine.
I like Atticus for a dog, a brave name from To Kill A Mockingbird.
Question Author
I said to the woman who was walking him that there weren't many Mockingbirds around here
That's a cat and a dog for me.
They were killed, sandy. After the book came out.
no its a lovely name.........but nigel ?
Question Author
Nigel is shortened to Nige. I'm not so sure Atticus is a good name. Imagine if you had to call it in the park. It's nearly as bad as Montmorency, the dog that travelled with the 3 men in their boat.
Mother had a dog called Flint.
I volunteered with the homeless in London, one of whom had a dog called 'Taxi', which he used to call for in the street.
No sandy, not to posh at all imo, gives him status.
Question Author
Those homeless people with dogs, if they need a bed for a few days where does the dog go? Is there any provision to get them a kennel for a few days?
Deefor 'dog'
Some hostels and night shelters will accept pets (i.e. St Mungos in London). The Dogs Trust provides a list of dog friendly hostels that can be used.
Atticus is a great name for a dog...a big dog.

A lot of hostels allow dogs. I think pets can be a lifeline for many rough sleepers.
I know someone who has two staffies called Stan and Dave. Most odd imo.
Question Author
There was a staffie near where I used to live called, Satan. It was the best tempered dog I've ever seen.
What breed was the puppy?
