Red cheeked Eagle

Saw a program recently on Animal Planet about an African eagle which lived on cliffs above a gorge and fed mainly on Rock Hyrax. The name in Latin,(or Greek?) meant red cheeked and started with G. Can anyone tell me the name of the bird?

Thank you

Sorry, the only one I can think of that mainly feeds on Rock Hyraxes is the Verreaux's Eagle, but that's latin name is Aquila verreauxil.
I could only find that one but it's the black eagle might try to find the programme on catch up
The only thing on animal planet website with hyraxes and an eagle doesn't give the name of the eagle will keep trying
The Verreaux's Eagle is also known as the Black Eagle. ☺
Could you be thinking of the Black Eagles of Roodekrans? (aquila verreauxii)

Roodekrans means 'Red Valley' in Afrikaans

thanks everyone. I also came up with Verraux's Eagle but that wasnt it driving me mad! it was such an unsual name, sounded more like a plant than a bird
Yes, it is the Verreaux's Eagle/Black Eagle/Roodekrans.

In Dutch, roode means something 'red'
A krans means a circle, wreath, garland, crest etc. something that is often worn as a decoration around the head or neck.

Problem solved.
