Bald patches

On my labs elbow,well elbow not painful but hard ish skin. It dosnt worry him to much,but today i noticed on the inside of his right rear leg there were largish patches of dry and flaking skin. I think the elbow is where he sleeps at night, but the rear leg im not sure. All uptodate for fleas and worms etc.

What are you feeding him on? Probably needs some oil in his diet, either cod liver oil or even a teaspoon of margerine a couple of times a week. Or you could try sardines or pilchards once a week.

Hubby just said the same, hes on dried food and scrounged morsels i have some cod liver oil capsules could i not give him one of those?

Yes they would be fine, one a day for that size. Which dry food do you use - many contain a lot of wheat or maize, and some dogs can't tolerate them. The pelleted ones are usually better than the flakey or coloured ones.

Hes on skinners working dog, did his first lot of cod liver oil today and he loved it!!! his back legs are really bad and it might be a trip to he vets yet. Thanks for your advice hun x
