Why has my Westie.....

started rolling in anything dirty and smelly everytime I take her out? Having to keep her on the lead because I'm fed up of bathing her!

sorry but it;s a dog thing - some do and some don't
I hope she never rolls in fox poo like mine did.
Because she can!
Maybe she's one of those rare dogs that really likes bathing and has trained you very well...

She is 9yrs old and has only just started this rolling thing! Cant say I agree with Clanad.....she hates getting wet even a drop of rain and she's inside so therefore hates having a bath and she's had 2 this last week!!
My 5 year old westie would do this, given half a chance............
Is it possible that whatever you are washing her with (shampoo) isn't very appealing to her and she rolls in 'whatever' so that she is happy with her smell?

Or she could be itchy - I think that Westies are known for their allergies - might have itchy skin.
