Two horses die at Bramham Horse Trials yesterday

Two horses died of suspected heart attacks at the Bramham Horse trials yesterday. Where is the outcry that Three Day Eventing is cruel etc???? Silence deafening from animal rights groups yet had these been racehorses there would be further calls for the sport to be banned. Double standards. Perhaps because it is a rich persons pastime it does not warrant protest?

it's odd because on the wiki info there is no mention of it.
He retired in 1996 apparently.
i deplore all cruelty, but most horses are very well loved!

papers are very selective with many campaigns ...
I love horses too, i also like horse racing, there will always be a conflict in sports involving animals.
I'll see if I can pick it up in French.....it was a November if I remember right.....
Well if Edberg did it a second time, it's no wonder he retired.
DT, even more bizarre.

During the 1977 US Open in Forest Hills, John McEnroe (playing in his first US Open) was playing against Eddie Dibbs in a 3rd round match. A commotion in the stands forced the Umpire to call over the two players. “Someone has been shot in the stands”, the Umpire told them. Dibbs response was to say, “I’m out of here.” The Umpire called him back and said it was a mistake, someone was in shock not shot. McEnroe won the match and then the Umpire fessed up and told the two players a spectator in the stands had indeed been shot from a stray bullet from the streets of Queens. 1977 was the Son of Sam Summer in New York City and the last year the US Open was played in Forest Hills.
can't find any evidence of another one. But the first seems well documented.
Jeez that it is weird, em, imagine that happening at Wimbledon......
DT, it always seems such a nice game lol
