Every morning,I feed Caspar as soon as I get up-otherwise the cat shrieks become deafening. ;-(
Sally gets fed after she is walked.
As soon as Caspar has finished his food-he sits by Sally's dish and wails until it's filled....he then tucks in with her. If she doesn't eat it all......he does. :-0

Anyone else's cat do this?

yes.

Well, sort of. Indi hooks dog biscuits out of Missy's bowl, bats them round the kitchen until they get lost under a piece of furniture then goes back to the bowl to repeat the process. Missy's learnt that in order nottot starve to death she'll have to gobble her food as soon as it lands in her bowl, otherwise it'll be lost by paws the size of saucepan lids.
Next door's cat often pops in when I'm feeding the dogs in the evening, and helps himself to some of the dogs' complete food, which I haven't seen any of our old cats do before - and he also finishe off our cat's food if she leaves any!
Yes....our old cat Tinker. She ended up obese. We also had another cat....she ate her food, the other cats food...then the dogs food.
well to Indi's credit, she doesn't eat it, just plays with it.
Once saw a prog on TV about the council trying to evict 2 scruffy old guys from their house. They showed a shot of them eating in the kitchen & 2 cats were on the table eating from the same plate ...disgusting
I solve this problem by keeping them apart at feeding time, otherwise it's not really fair, is it?
Frankie is a pig and now that he is on steroids he is a greedy pig. Merlin doesn't seem too fussed about her food and often just eats the Iams.

Frankie's usual eating position is to have a front paw in Merlin's bowl whilst inhaling his own food quickly, he growls at random intervals so that she stays away. She just sits and watches.

I used to intervene and tried various ways of feeding them - but I then realised that Merlin was more than capable of fighting her own battles and I just leave them to it. Merlin has HUGE paws and she knows how to use them!
My dog is food protective so poor kitty doesn't get a chance.

ermm....how is it not really fair?....the dog is quite capable of getting her own back by eating the cat's food....so I think they are even...;-)
