Thank you in anticipation.

I have a jack russel chihuahua cross there little buggers, mine wasnt to nippy but when he was we had a little spray bottle with water in it and sprayed it at him, soon learned not to do that? but if hes still got his baby teeth they may be about ready to fall out and his adult teeth are coming threw which will be uncomfortable
jj is right - probably teething. He'll grow out of it. Make sure he has something to chew. If it's aggressive biting, however, make it plain to him that it's not allowed. Don't laugh at it.
Puppies do bite when playing, it is quite normal. If the bite is too hard to be playing, give him a thumb down and a firm "NO", and then spray. Just make sure that when you spray him that he knows what it is for or you'll end up with a neurotic dog.
Look at youtube, ceaser Milan, Dog whisperer, some great tips, look up "dog training" loads of great stuff to help you.
Please do not spray a ten week old puppy with water!
He is still a baby who is playing with you as he would his litter mates!
A firm 'NO' remove what he is biting and give him a toy to chew...Simples!

I have heard that if you make a "Yelping" noise and then turn away from them, they tend to work out that this is not the way to play nicely.
Divegirl is correct. You DO NOT punish a 10 week old puppy by spraying water at him. He is only a baby and this is unkind IMO. You train by Positive Reinforcement which means you reward good behaviour with a treat when he is not misbehaving or when he obeys you. If he misbehaves you withdraw the treats and then ignore him until he reverts to good behaviour. Make sure he has something he enjoys chewing on to lessen the chances of him chewing or nipping where he shouldn't. I believe Icemaiden is also correct when she says letting out a yelp (loud and sharp) and turning your back will give him the message that it's not OK to do that. Victoria Stilwell uses the Positive method rather than the Confrontational method used by Cesar Milan and in my opinion is a much better trainer. Hope this helps. Good Luck and enjoy your puppy.
