hmmmm allergy? heat reaction? I think I'd be popping into the vet if it was my dog.

has it done it before? Is it groomed regularly? what is the skin like (red, broken itchy, crusty?) Are there bare patches of skin?
Question Author
It's clipped every 4 months and brushed regularly. The skin seems OK and no bare patches.

TY, Woofgang. I was thinking it might have been the heat. But I'll see the vet, anyway.
I do the same when I can't complete the crossword??

So did I once. But I got stuck on a particularly hard one in the Belfast Telegraph once and in one evening went from having a fine head of hair into being a slaphead.
It never grew back.
Perhaps your cairn terrier is coming out in sympathy with you.I hope the vet will sort it out.I love dogs better than a lot of mankind I have met.
