My cat is licking my hair on my head

I was wondering if anyone has the same thing. My kitten 12 weeks old comes and licks the hair on my head when I am sitting down on the chair. Is this normal? Anyone else had this or heard of it she has a really rough tounge

yes...she is licking the hairy bit of you she can manage! it is normal kitty behaviour. you'll have to wait a while until she grows up to see what her true foilbles are...x

Not experienced that one, gordie, but I used to have a cat that would wake me up by licking my eyelids. And their tongues are very rough, as you said!

p.s. i use to have a cat that liked sucking on my ear when i was asleep. again, normal behaviour....but disgusting nonetheless x

Yes, one of our cats used to chew my hair when he was little. It's a kitten thing.

Yes very normal cats like to groom each other . One cat I had liked to lick my arm he would start at my finger tip and progress all up my arm if I didn't stop him.

If it's a kitten thing,then Caspar must be suffering from arrested development cat-style. Given the chance -he will happily chew my hair...makes horrible slobbery noises as he does it.
I also had a cat that would lick the insides of my ears to wake me. *shudder*

my cat used to come onto my bed as i was waking up and lick my entire hand all over ... i loved it.

Id worry if she licked the hair on your head when when you were standing up .

One of ours does this everytime my daughter washes her hair - but only with a certain shampoo, if she uses something else he isn't interested!

I once had a girlfriend who refused to oblige me in that respect so I dumped her and bought a cat.
