goldfish swimming at an angle

I have 5 goldfish in a tank, they all have started swimming at a few degrees of off upright apart from that they all seem healthy. any ideas?.

Could be a swim bladder infection. Easily fixed with a few drops of stuff from your pet shop.
Maybe drop in a sample of the water from the tank for them to check too though.

If you mean with their mouth to the top, it could be a lack of oxygen. Has the water become warmer recently? Have you added any of the fish recently? Can the sun reach the tank so it warms up too much and reduces the oxygen level in the water?

Don't feed for 2-3 days, usually a sign of a swim bladder problem caused by overfeeding the fish, as the fish only have a stomach exactly the same size as their eyes.

I have just bought a new filter unit, I will also strve the for a couple of days and see if that helps, I also just read that a couple of frozen peas will work wonders, so thats plan "B".

OK. peas went in, one fish raced after them to the bottom, then ignored them, i though that is just going to pollute the water. Next morning, peas gone, fish happy as larry, racing around the tank, looking for food. that was a week or so ago, and they are now really fit and well, they come racing over to the side every time you walk by, looking for more food ( or is it peas they want)?
