Milk for cats

My baby grand-daughter is being fed on a lactose free milk. Would it be ok to give the left overs to their cat?

I can't see why not.

My cat wouldn't drink it though. He drinks water, out of a glass. He won't touch it unless it's in a glass.
i used to try and give left over baby milk to the dog- she wouldn't touch it either.
I hope you weren't breast feeding ...

*** brain bleach please ***
lol
My cat won't touch milk or cream. He drinks water from the toilet bowl, puddles, kitchen sink, cups, glasses - his water bowl? - no. Loony!!
Same Wharton...but he's now settled on a glass. On the worktop, we get dirty looks if we put it on the floor!!
Wharton - my cat's exactly the same. He'll go through all sorts of gymnastics to get to the glass of water on my bedside table, but will never touch his own bowl. And will happily spend 20 minutes licking along a window ledge after a fall of rain. Strange creatures.
Yes many cats are lactose intolerant so would be better for puss than untreated cows milk

Re the other posts... cats are very sensitive to the smell of fluoride in water so generally don't like it fresh from the tap..mine used to prefer still volvic or evian... at least a day old or water from the small pond in the bog garden
The taps in my house are the type you push up - Max is able to flick the tap on and can help himself to a drink whenever he likes, though he doesn't seem able to push the tap back down again to turn it off sometimes he just likes to sit and watch the water flowing out of the tap - can't decide if he's really smart or plain weird
I think my cat just likes to see me jumping to his command.

He meows at the window but won't come in if the kids open the door. It has to be me...
cats are wierd .... In hot weather One of my old cats used to yowl at me to turn the bath tap on a little then she'd sit under the trickle until she was soaked then go and dry herself on the spare bed
My loony drinks straight from the tap too and doesn't care about getting soaked in the process.
as in formula milk?
Max doesn't like getting wet - he just likes to watch the water flow. I decided to wash my hair over the bath on Saturday afternoon, Max followed me into the bathroom (I hadn't seen him) and as I was soaking my hair I glanced along the side of the bath for the shampoo and there was a sweet face looking back at me, "aw, cute" I thought of course he loves the water, next thing he'd jumped into the bath (which was filling up) he then decided he didn't like getting wet after all and was scrabbling at the side of the bath to get out, I put the shower hose down in the bath to help him out water went everywhere, best beloved arrived just in time as a grey tabby blur streaked past him - his last encounter with water!
My loony has fallen into the toilet bowl on many occasions - still goes back to it!
