why do people dress up their pets?

Some people put booties on their dogs to protect their feet from the hot ground.

rattyratgirl ..... 'only in America' is a phrase that springs to mind, or I hope so. I can't see many people in the UK buying their rats little outfits. ;-)


There was an article in one of my usual trashy weekly women's magazines a week or so back about a woman who dresses her bulldogs up in little outfits each day and it costs a fortune. Alas I can't find a link. She had about six of them - they looked stupid in their little tu-tu outfits.

I could never dress my hounds up, I hate it!! however I did put a coat on our Merlin, a coat left behind by a friend, we took a photo of him wearing her coat and sent the photo to her just for a laugh.

But this is the sort of confusion caused to these poor little dogs.
