Miss Cool

My dog was with the sitter for two nights as I was working away. The sitter's son brought her back last night - she sauntered in and ignored me completely.
Do you think she was having a dog huff at having to come home or was she paying me back for going away?

I think it's a doggie thing as Max does the same. He only goes into kennels twice a year and never for more then three days and though he's usually very good in the car he seems to recognise the long country lane to the kennels and as soon as we turn into it he starts with those little pitiful whines that dogs use to make you feel guilty. He continues right up till the kennel maid comes to get him then off he trots with his tail wagging and without a backward glance leaving Trish and myself feeling terrible. When we pick him up he's like your girl fussy as anything with the kennel maids and ignoring us completely untill we've bribed our way back into his good books.
Dogs don't you just love 'em !
Be grateful it wasn't a cat...they can sulk for weeks
Is that all? When my wolfhounds used to go away to kennel, they knew the sound of the kennel's van approaching and, on hearing it, wouild knock me over in the mad rush to get out to it; as soon as the man opened the van , they'd jump in and settle in the cages, tails wagging. Now that's insulting ! And on their return, they'd walk in, look at me as much as to say "What? You still here?", before settling down to protracted ignoring of me!
Yes that is telling you off for leaving her and going off without her.! I get completely ignored for a few days. He even turns his back on me.! Dogs and men!!!!!!!!!
